Friends, Here we are at all he end of 2017, in gratitude to God but also in pains for the sins of our nation, for the inadequacies of governance and the indiscipline of the governed. Yet we pray and pray for a better year, and so we must. But as a people are, so the nation is. With government having a few successes but bungling in many things with feeble explanations we are in deep trouble and have to save our age.Now that all the wishes of Christmas have ended and those of the New Year shall soon fade away…welcome reality. After the wishes then the work. We have work to do. Paul in Ephesians speaks to us: : Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you. So be very careful about the sort of lives you lead, like intelligent and not like senseless people.

Make the best of the present time, for it is a wicked age (Eph 5:14-16). So, you and you and you, begin now from your family out to where you work out into society, in politics in business, in school, what role can you play? Do it…make the best of these times as a child of God. There is so much darkness in Nigeria. Who but you and I must light it up? You in any position of power what have you done to help people and society. God will judge you, policeman, petrol seller, marketer, politician, lawyer, justice, journalist, pastor, government worker. From him to whom much is given, much more will be requested. Don’t say empty “happy New Year” to each other. RESOLVE to make it happy for somebody. Otherwise severe shall be God’s judgement. Did you say God does not get angry? Ha , what happened to Ananias and Sapphira then? May God make your family holy and make you a light shinning in the darkness. Promote the truth, the light, honesty, happiness….I will work for a happier 2018. I so resolve, so help me God!
