Ali-Olanusi1Ondo State House of Assembly Monday morning impeached the state deputy governor, Alhaji Alli Olanusi.
He was impeached for alleged gross misconduct.

Olanusi was impeached by 22 out of the 28 lawmakers of the assembly.

The majority leader, Ifedayo Akinsanyilu moved the motion for the impeachment and was seconded by by the deputy majority leader, Oyewo Aladetan.

Olanusi had been fronted with various allegations by the House of Assembly, which mandated the Chief Judge of the state to set up a seven-man panel to probe the deputy governor.

The panel who sat for only 24 hours last week submitted its report this Monday morning.

Olanusi’s travails started two days to the March 28 presidential election when he defected from PDP to APC.

He had been out of the country for days now on the guise of travelling for medical check up.
