Oshiomhole, APC Will Be Crushed In Delta In 2019 – Delta PDP

Ex-Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, former Governor of Edo state, has at last found his very annoying and uncultured voice once again and, it is little wonder that he has typically directed his recent rant against our amiable, distinguished and highly cerebral Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the Ekwueme of the Universe and undisputed leader of our great party, PDP, in Delta State.

This time around, as in previous diatribes, he has even further deluded himself with the reckless and hallucinating pronouncement, during their recent self-styled APC mega rally at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Benin City, that his inept and dysfunctional party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, would not only defeat the PDP in the 2019 general election, but also unseat Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and install an APC govermment in Delta State.

His laughable and yet pathetic claims that President Muhammadu Buhari achievements will give the APC victory over the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and that the APC would extend its coast in the South-South by installing an APC governor in Delta State, not only smacks of the now synonymous ego-massaging pastime of the APC, but ultimately raises the fundamental question: ‘Which Achievements is he talking about?’ What a pipe dream!

It is even amazing that after having been thoroughly humiliated and rejected in the nominations for national appointments and then comprehensively and roundly booed during the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC colloquium on Restructuring held at Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Abuja in August 2017, Comrade Oshiomhole, the activist labourer turned capitalist apologist for political gratification and recognition, couldn’t resist the massive successes and frightening implications of a rejuvenated PDP, midwived by the astute, articulate and strategically brilliant supervision of the Delta State Governor, and found his voice again, in another futile effort to engage Governor Okowa in his peurile belligerence and to drag our dear Governor into his ghetto politics rhetoric.

Recall that former Governor Oshiomhole had, while in public office deemed to conduct himself in speech and action, in a crude, unstable and distasteful manner that continually diminished him with embarassing regularity and may have been ultimately responsibly for his total rejection for high national office by his own political party, while Governor Okowa, who is a brand of model leadership, administrative excellence, progressive astuteness, and cosmopolitan articulation, complemented with the unblemished clarity and understanding of modern political realities in strategic electoral re-engineering and governance methodologies, continues to wax with greater relevance and burgeoning influence on the political landscape. This emerging superior persona, is apparently just too much for Ex-Comrade Oshiomhole to comprehend and accept.

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, in addition to his political savvy, sophistication and leadership acumen, has now embellished his exceptional credentials by perfecting the systematic skills on how to manage diverse and complex ethno-cultural situations both in politics and the economy, create jobs for the teeming youth population, pay salaries regularly to workers, even in the face of harsh financial realities, build quality and enduring infrastructure like schools, roads, bridges spread evenly across the three senatorial zones in the state, formulate and initiate progressive developmental policies for effective and collective sectoral growth and indeed ensure prosperity for his people, through the well-articulated S.M.A.R.T Agenda in Delta State.

As a responsible and now rejuvenated political party and with the visible and verifiable achievements of Governor Okowa standing proudly against the national backdrop of the non-achievements and non-deliverables of the All Promises Cancelled, APC, his party, it once again becomes imperative to reiterate to Ex-Comrade Governor Oshiomhole that the PDP, especially in Delta State is even more primed and energised now to take on all opposition frontally and defeat them comprehensively, in subsequent elections, as we recently demonstrated in the complete decimation of the opposition in the just concluded Delta State Local Government polls, particularly when the opposition continues in its phlegmatic political ineptitude and strategic incapacitation, as it has exhibited over the years.

Ex-Comrade Oshiomhole also made the following pronouncement at the self-styled mega rally in Benin: “I heard in Delta they have even auctioned their mass transit and they are fighting over who bought what. In Edo they are reinforcing. We must extend the frontiers of development to Delta state in the spirit of the old mid-west”. How so uninformed and misled he truly is on the matter.

Addressing more specifically, the issue of Delta Line, we want to use this opportunity to once again set the records straight and inform Oshiomhole and his ilk that Delta Line was neither auctioned nor sold as his warped informants have been feeding him.

For the avoidance of doubt, the Delta State Government on September 19, 2017, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with God is Good Motors Limited, one of the most succesful, reputable and enduring private owned transport companys in the country, to manage Delta Transport Company Limited.

Governor Okowa, speaking after the ceremony said: “We just witnessed the signing of the MoU between the Delta State Government and God is Good Motors Limited which is a Private Public Partnership arrangement that will entail God is Good managing Delta Line, our state-run transport company to make it the best for our people and a company we all can be proud of. Since 1999, I have seen Delta Line grow and go down. Every time it is down, government will recapitalise the company, but at the end, what we get is another set of debts to be paid.

“It is only an administration that does not care for its people that will allow such to continue and I am glad that after following due process, I believe we made the right choice by choosing God is Good Motors to manage Delta Line. They are efficient professionals in the transportation business and they have well trained drivers. As the Governor of Delta State, I swore to do good and provide the best to Deltans and we shall remain committed to that course; I believe Delta Line will grow with time and in the next few years, we shall be getting returns from the company.”

What is now a very clear yet sad reflection of the leadership capacity and indeed the wicked mindset of the APC for Nigerians, is that instead of encouraging our own private and domestic entrepreneurs who have distinguished themselves in their areas of business concerns, a former Governor of a state well renowned for the plethora of robust, dynamic, innovative and revolutionary road transportation operators, should be criticizing the engagement of a private and successful entrepreneur to manage our own Delta Line.

Perhaps Ex-comrade governor Oshiomhole may have been one of the unsuccessful bidders for Delta Line whose proxy company did not meet our very precise requirements and so he has suspiciously singled out that particular instance over which he is still embittered. But then, such pettiness is only to be expected from a man who reportedly bought over an airline in a foreign country in a foolhardy investment reminiscent of the folklore of Helen of Troy.

Indeed it is quite unfortunate to hear the present Governor, Godwin Obaseki of Edo state, claim boldly at that same rally, that he just came back from China to sign an MoU, with the Chinese, to facilitate the building of the biggest industrial park in Nigeria and modular refinery in Ikpoba Okha, all these at a time when Nigeria should be engaging and encouraging our indigenous entrepreneurs and oil business moguls and emulating the example of the likes of Dangote, who is building a Refinery in Nigeria.

This is arguably Oshiomhole’s wicked plan for the good people of Edo state and that may be another reason he is so unhappy that the people friendly and nationally patriotic Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is encouraging recognized and successful indigenous investors to grow in Nigeria.

However, despite his tragic flaws and noted short comings, we must not fail to thank Ex-comrade Governor Adams Oshiomhole for the kind words and unequivocal recognition of greatness and statesmanship he accorded our ultimate leader and former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, during the grand reception organised by the immediate past Secretary to the Delta State Government, Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay, at Owhelogbo, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, in honour of the undisputed father and Pioneer advocate for the collective agitation of Resource control in Nigeria.

Oshiomhole said and we quote him: “I appreciate Ibori for several reasons. When we needed men to support the struggle for resource control, we found a worthy partner in Ibori. Ibori spoke with courage in the quest for equity and justice for the minorities.”

“James Ibori fought gallantly for his people and little wonder he is celebrated all over the State. James Ibori is a bridge builder across all divides.”

We want to therefore sound it loud and clear that PDP has not only come back in grand style especially after our hugely successful national convention, which shocked and surprised many detractors like ex-comrade governor Oshiomhole who did not wish us well, but is now ready to pursue, overtake and recover what the APC stole from Nigerians with their lies, deceit and propaganda, in 2015.

In fact, like Oshiomhole himself rightly said at that rally, Nigerians are not fools anymore and they will no longer be deceived by the hired media hawks that APC deployed to hoodwink them in 2015. We are all living witnesses today to the reality that Nigeria is even worse off than it was in 2015, and to the country which those who filled our ears and hearts with the fear that there would have been no Nigeria, if PDP had won, has given us in three years.

There is the real fear in Nigeria and amongst Nigerians today that the way we are going now, with Boko Haram still bombing, with suffering and hardship everywhere in fuel scarcity, high cost of living, beggars and destitutes at every street corner, unemployment and youth restiveness, the regime of real fear in our society, the worse kind of corruption and impunity in appointments and in high places, a leadership that is slow, sick, old and weak, and most dangerously in the rampant and uncontrolled killings, maimings and destruction spree which Fulani herdsmen have unleashed on innocent and unsuspecting Nigerians, there is now the real possibility of a clear and present danger, that Nigeria will definitely be no more if APC is not removed from power in 2019.

APC has failed woefully as a political party and has failed Nigerians in the most terrible and unforgivable way possible. Nigerians have never had it so bad and in the midst of all these untold hardship and unexpected suffering, Nigerians have all realised that they made a grave mistake in 2015 by asking for CHANGE.

In 2019 we must reject their change, for as the saying goes, those who do not know where the rain started beating them will not also know where it stopped falling. We know when our rain of suffering started and we know when it will end.

Now is the time to Change their worthless change. PDP all the way from 2019.
