Saraki, Dogara To Approve Lawan, Gbajabiamila As Principal Officers

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), John
Odigie-Oyegun on Tuesday mandated Senate President, Bukola Saraki and
the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, to approve
the party’s candidates for the remaining principal offices in the
National Assembly.

Oyegun in a letter to Saraki and Dogara said the party after excessive
consultations has arrived at its candidates for the positions.

Oyegun in a letter to Saraki noted that the party has settled for
Senators Ahmed Lawan and George Akume as Majority Leader and Deputy
Majority Leader respectively.

He added that the party’s choice for the Chief Whip of the Senate is
Sola Adeyeye while Abu Ibrahim should deputize for Adeyeye.

To Dogara , Oyegun said Femi Gbajabiamila and  Alhassan Ado Doguwa are
the party’s candidates for the Majority Leader and Deputy Majority
Leader respectively

He stated that M. T. Monguno and Pally Iriase are the party’s
candidates for the Chief Whip and Deputy Chief Whip respectively.

Oyegun urged both leaders to respect party’s decision and not
disappoint the party.
