Uzodimma Commends World Catholic Women For Hosting Conference In Nigeria

Mr. Hope Uzodimma, senator representing Imo West Senatorial District, has commended the World Union of Catholic Women Organisations(WUCWO) for hosting its 8th African Regional Assembly in Nigeria, saying it  is an indication that  the current  security challenge in the country was not as bad as what was  being portrayed   by the international country.

Speaking with journalists on Sunday at Our Lady Queen of Nigeria, Pro-Cathedral Catholic Church, Area 3, Garki, Abuja, venue of the event, Mr. Uzodimma who was Chairman of the occasion, noted that the security challenge in Nigeria was not as bad as what was being experienced in other African countries and commended President Goodluck Jonathan for the efforts at checking the security challenge.

He said by hosting the regional assembly in Nigeria, the organisers had shown confidence in the security of the country. He urged Nigerians not to despair but to have confidence in God and efforts of the present administration to tackle the current security challenges.

Mr. Uzodimma commended the assembly for conferring on the Nigerian First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, the award of Grand Ambassador of Peace, saying it was in recognition of her efforts to bring about global   peace and in Nigeria in particular.

The conference with the theme: Love in Action, which opened on Saturday ends on Thursday.
