We Will Create Two Million Jobs For Youths Annually – Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan has said his government is youth and women friendly and with the You-Win programme, it intends to create two million jobs annually for the youths.

This is even as the National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has urged the Abia people to work with the former State Governor, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu, who he said has been working with the party at the national level to move the party forward.

President Jonathan while canvassing for votes from the people of Abia State on Friday, equally declared that both women and youths would continue to take top spot in his administration’s transformation agenda.

He said at the presidential campaign rally held at the Umuahia township stadium in Abia State, that with the high quality products the youths who got the YouWin grants are producing, in the next five years they will start exporting to other parts of the world.

Jonathan appealed to the mammoth crowd to vote massively for the party from top to bottom, stressing that his administration would continue to push women forward progressive until they attain the number on spot globally.

The president added that Nigerian youths are the future hope of the nation, and as such would continue to take priority position in his administration.

He stressed that his campaign mantra was about the youths.

He said “?We promise we will not disappoint Abia people.

“Our commitment is to improve power in Abia state. Our commitment to create the enabling environment ?for your businesses to thrive.

?”This government has encouraged the youths, we will continue to do so in all areas you are good at. We are creating enabling for our creative industry, we created a special fund to boost the industry, this is the first in the history of this country. Previous governments never gave youths that chance, in fact they use to laugh at our youths involved in music and movie industry.

“When we came on board we had a retreat to deliberate on the sports sector and that is why we are now doing well in sports.

“We are committed to creating two million jobs and we are doing it from every angle. In the next five years the youths will exporting their products outside the country with the quality of what the display during exhibitions”.

The wife of the President, Mrs. Jonathan who spoke in her dialect, ?said the Jonathan’s administration has been very good to women, given them 35 per cent affirmative action stating, “PDP is the answer, a bird at hand is worth million in the bush, this President loves women”.

The governor of the State, Theodore Oji said the President’s visit was a courtesy call to his people and not campaign because “we are all your campaign managers you don’t need to campaign here.

“Abia was lacking behind with 24 per cent Permanent Voters Cards collection, today is 82 per cent of us have collected our PVCs.

“There is no scarcity of fuel in Abia said, your government is addressing erosion problem, through You-Win and SURE-P you have impacted positively.

“We were almost chased out by kidnappers before now but with your help Abia is one of the safest states in the country. Since after Shagari there was no rail service but it is back, I even took a ride with the Vice President down to Imo River and we will continue to support you”, he said.

The ?High Commissioner to Canada, Ojo Maduke? said, the presidential election is one more opportunity to resolve national questions. “Jonathan represents inclusive. Buhari represents exclusion, he represents a change to a dark past that we have rejected.

“This election must return all PDP candidates, it doesn’t show discipline to vote the president and vote other parties in other position. The Umbrella is big enough to accommodate all and resolve all issues”.

Former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara, said “Abia is totally for you Mr. President. You have progressed we cannot change the fingertips. Any change will take us to Egypt”.

The Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala said the Jonathan’s administration has created 1.2 jobs via YouWin and graduates internship jobs.

?The National Party Chairman, Maize urged Abians to repeat what they did in ?2011 from top to bottom.

“We have performing, highly educated ?and hardworking, we pray for strength to succeed in the good work he has started. Even the opposition has acknowledged he is hardworking”.

?The State PDP flag, Okezie Ikpeazu, ?who was presented with the flag of the party said, “The day he came to marry we entered into sacred covenant with him that he is our brother. Nobody should come to canvass for vote here because in Ibo land your in-law is your brother.

“We are going to run a private sector economy, we have the power station and we are ready take advantage of it. We will soon export leather works and garment outside the country. Aba will become the Japan of Nigeria”.
